CONDITION ASSESSMENT
SASTTI uses a number of varied techniques and processes that have been developed and proven over the years to inspect and provide a condition assessment of existing structure. Identifying causes of deterioration, the impact of ongoing deterioration and requirements for rehabilitation and maintenance plays a key role in our client’s management of their assets.
TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGY
SASTTI is recognised as an industry leader in providing independent expert advice on the trenchless installation of new pipelines and the trenchless rehabilitation of existing buried assets. Services provided includes condition assessment, rehabilitation planning, technical specifications, detailed design, tender evaluation, product and system evaluation, new product development and independent verification.
REHABILITATION ASSESSMENT & PLANNING
SASTTI uses a well-developed and proven techniques for assessing the condition and “service life” of assets to determine optimum solutions for rehabilitation and timing for their implementation. Strategies can be developed to provide a staged program of work based on a client’s risk profile and available funding.
CONFINED SPACES INSPECTION
SASTTI completes an average of about 50 confined spaces each year of varied assets including trunk sewers, large pipelines, tunnels, maintenance holes, buried stormwater culverts, sewer pumping stations, reservoirs, tanks, clarifiers and various other treatment plant assets. Services that can be provided include preparation of safety procedures, flow isolations planning and support for the inspections.
BUILDING & CIVIL STRUCTURES
With a strong background in structural engineering SASTTI is able to deliver specialised services in the engineering of buildings and civil structures with a focus on condition assessment and rehabilitation. Areas of particular expertise include detailed finite element analysis of impacts of deterioration, earthquake sensitivity analysis and the assessment and repair of heritage structures.
RESERVOIRS & TANKS
SASTTI has been involved for more than 25 years on the civil and structural engineering associated with below ground, on ground and elevated reservoirs comprised of various materials including brick, steel and various forms of concrete. Services delivered include the design and documentation for the construction of new reservoirs and tanks as well as the inspection, condition assessment and rehabilitation or repair of existing tanks.
