SASTTI completes an average of about 50 confined spaces each year of varied assets including trunk sewers, large pipelines, tunnels, maintenance holes, buried stormwater culverts, sewer pumping stations, reservoirs, tanks, clarifiers and various other treatment plant assets. Services that can be provided include preparation of safety procedures, flow isolations planning and support for the inspections.
With a strong background in structural engineering SASTTI is able to deliver specialised services in the engineering of buildings and civil structures with a focus on condition assessment and rehabilitation. Areas of particular expertise include detailed finite element analysis of impacts of deterioration, earthquake sensitivity analysis and the assessment and repair of heritage structures.
SASTTI has been involved for more than 25 years on the civil and structural engineering associated with below ground, on ground and elevated reservoirs comprised of various materials including brick, steel and various forms of concrete. Services delivered include the design and documentation for the construction of new reservoirs and tanks as well as the inspection, condition assessment and rehabilitation or repair of existing tanks.
