Our Team

Lance Horlyck

Principal

Lance has over 40 years of structural engineering experience. Over the last 30 years, Lance has developed strategies for the assessment and repair of water and wastewater assets that are now considered industry benchmarks. His expertise in trenchless technology and rehabilitation assessment and planning are recognised nationally and he is routinely engaged to assist interstate water authorities with their more complex projects.

Shariff Shockair

Principal

Shariff has over 20 years of civil engineering experience in the water and wastewater industry. He has been working with SASTTI JV since 2007 and leads the condition assessment, confined space inspection and rehabilitation assessment and planning teams. Shariff is widely recognised as an expert in the industry and will continue to shape Sydney's water and wastewater industry for years to come.

Lachlan Horlyck

Experienced Engineer

Lachlan is a structural engineer who is experienced in the inspection, condition assessment and detailed design of some of Sydney's most critical water and wastewater infrastructure. His favourite inspections remain sewer traverses, or as he likes to call it, the 'dirty' side of the business.

Jonah Petrie

Experienced Engineer

Jonah is a civil engineer who has nearly 10 years of experience working with SASTTI JV. Responsible for the condition assessment and rehabilitation of Wastewater and Treatment Plant Infrastructure, Jonah has gained extensive expertise in the field having also worked as a Contractor in infrastructure construction and transport asset management. Outside of work Jonah is pursuing his Master’s in Wastewater and Water Engineering and rarely misses a chance to get active in nature.

Andrew Trappitt

Senior Draftsperson

Andrew has been at SASTTI as one of the original Gang of 5 and has been an integral part of the growth of this company. As the company’s lead CAD Technician working closely with our engineers and clients he produces high quality technical drawings for our projects. Andrew is also a keen and competitive cyclist and mountain biker outside the office.

Abby Zhang

Engineer

Abby is a civil/structural engineer with almost 5 years of experience in both structural design and condition assessment of various water and wastewater assets. Abby has undertaken a wide variety of roles including project management, inspection, detailed design, technical support, and preparing rehabilitation options.

Abigail Colorado

Accounting and Management

Abigail has been working with SASTTI JV since 2017 and she handles the office management and accounting responsibilities with precision. During her free time, she engages in activities such as running and baking, adding balance to her life outside of work.

Nicholas Dahler

Engineer

Nicholas is a structural engineer predominately involved in the structural design and condition assessment of Sydney’s water and wastewater infrastructure. Prior to joining SASTTI JV, Nicholas worked on large Rail and Wastewater commercial infrastructure projects within the greater Sydney region.

Gerard Atkins

Engineer

Gerard is a mechanical engineer who has been responsible for the inspection and condition assessment for a wide range of Sydney’s critical water and wastewater infrastructure. He has been involved in a number of projects covering a wide range of technical needs in his time with SASTTI JV and is constantly learning.

Sara Susana Goez

Junior Engineer

Sara Susana is a sanitary engineer who recently joined SASTTI JV as a Junior Engineer. She is actively developing her expertise in conducting inspections of hydraulic resources and assessing their condition. Outside of work, Sara finds joy in the company of animals, particularly her adorable cat. Ask her about her furry friend, and she'll gladly share countless pictures.

Simin Asadolah

Draftsperson

Simin is a skilled AutoCAD drafter with background in industrial and infrastructure construction. She enjoys problem solving and assisting her colleagues to achieve positive outcome for both the client and business.
