Like all major infrastructure, the sewer system requires regular monitoring in order to determine the condition and any maintenance required. Of particular concern is how long the sewers will remain operational or their Years to End of Service Life. Over the past 20 years SASTTI JV has been routinely engaged by Sydney Water to conduct these inspections.
Confined Space Inspections are a key part of the inspection and maintenance program for a wide range of Sydney Water’s infrastructure. The largest infrastructure program requiring these inspections are the sewers beneath Sydney. Like all major infrastructure, the sewer system requires regular monitoring in order to determine the condition and any maintenance required. Of particular concern is how long the sewers will remain operational or their Years to End of Service Life (YESL).
Over the past 20 years SASTTI JV has been routinely engaged by Sydney Water to conduct these inspections with our personnel are fully trained and equipped to handle the challenges associated with working in a live sewer environment. SASTTI JV have made a significant contribution to the development of the requirements for testing and measurement, inspection process and the YESL evaluation criteria that govern the timing of maintenance work.
SASTTI JV works within the existing framework as well as drawing upon knowledge gained from years of experience in performing these inspections in order to provide independent expert advice. Based on the inspections, SASTTI JV prepares extensive reports outlining the condition of the sewers as well as any potential issues and suitable repairs.
